General practice & family medicine
At LEO, I'm well looked after.
We're your first point of contact for anything to do with your health. We look after children, adults and older people, often over many years. Your history and your results stay documented with us, so you don't have to tell your story from scratch at every visit.
We listen, explain things clearly and tell you openly what's what. Our recommendations follow current medical evidence. If you need a specialist or a hospital, we plan the next step with you.
When it's urgent: sick notes, blood tests, wound care
Acute complaints and infections: Come on by. We will examine you and discuss the next steps.
Sick leave certificate: We issue the sick leave certificate after an examination. Retrospectively, this is usually only possible for one day.
Blood sampling and acute laboratory: We determine acute values directly on site; further analyses are sent to our partner laboratory labors.at.
Wounds and minor injuries: We treat wounds and change dressings.
Prevention and monitoring
Preventive health check-up (Vorsorgeuntersuchung / Gesundenuntersuchung): Once a year from age 18, covered by your health insurance. First, you come in fasted for a blood test, then we go through your results and examine you. Here you can find the form for the preventive medical check-up.
ECG: In case of heart problems or before surgery, we perform the ECG directly in the practice.
24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring: You wear a portable monitor for 24 hours during your normal routine, then we review the readings together. (Private service)
Vaccinations: For children and adults according to the Austrian vaccination schedule. Some vaccinations are free of charge through public vaccination programs, others are private. We will let you know in advance what costs will apply. Travel vaccinations and travel medical advice are private services.
Pre-operative assessment (OP-Freigabe): Before a planned operation, we examine you and prepare the pre-operative report for the hospital. Please bring the documents you received from the hospital.
Long-term care
Chronic conditions: We support you long term, keep track of your test results and medication, and coordinate with your specialists.
Hypertension (high blood pressure): We monitor your blood pressure regularly and adjust your treatment with you.
Type 2 diabetes (Therapie Aktiv): In this structured disease management programme of the Austrian social insurance, we see you for regular check-ups. Taking part is voluntary and free of charge.
Infusions, injections, and pain therapy: If tablets are not sufficient or not possible, we administer medications as an infusion or injection.
Home visits: Currently mainly for patients we already care for and who are unable to come to the clinic.
Our team in the house: Dietetics and Social Work complement the care, with clinical psychology following shortly.
For children and teenagers
We treat acute and chronic illnesses.
School confirmations and PE exemptions: we issue these free of charge.
Your child's regular Eltern-Kind-Pass check-ups (formerly Mutter-Kind-Pass) are best kept with your paediatrician. For acute symptoms, your child is welcome with us during opening hours.
Confirmations and Forms
Many certificates aren't covered by public health insurance. We mark them as private services and tell you beforehand what they cost.
Rehab and spa treatment applications: We talk with you about whether rehab or a spa stay makes medical sense and fill in the application together.
Medical certificates and confirmations: for example for employers or insurers. (Private service)
Sports certificates: We issue a medical certificate. (Private service)
Advance healthcare directive (Patientenverfügung): We provide the medical consultation required for a binding advance directive. (Private service)
